Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her athletic abilities during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first tryout she came third in the 200 meters during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas to become an athlete in professional competition. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for the 200m. In 2007, she defended her title by beating Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished in the top three of every event.
